"This is not the first time Camping has made a bold prediction about Judgment Day."

"On Sept. 6, 1994, dozens of Camping's believers gathered inside Alameda's Veterans Memorial Building to await the return of Christ, an event Camping had promised for two years.

Followers dressed children in their Sunday best and held Bibles open-faced toward heaven.

But the world did not end. Camping allowed that he may have made a mathematical error. He spent the next decade running new calculations, as well as overseeing a media company that has grown significantly in size and reach."

HERE ARE HIS BOOKS:Do not read them UNLESS your spiritually prepared to refute them!

Red flag's should be waving among his followers right about now, but are they? The problem with people who CLAIM big things from bible study is, they seldom live up to the hype they create around their studies!

"But the prophet who presumes to speak a word in My name which I have not commanded him to speak, or who speaks in the name of other gods, that same prophet shall die."

"When a prophet speaks in the name of the Lord, if the word does not come to pass or prove true, that is a word which the Lord has not spoken. The prophet has spoken it presumptuously; you shall not be afraid of him."

Former civil engineer Harold Camping of Oakland, who runs Family Radio, has studied the Bible for almost 70 years, you would think he would have read the verses in Deuteronomy about FALSE PROPHETS and God's attitude towards making false claims...guess he missed that in his twisting of scripture?

His Teachings & Beliefs

Camping teaches that a Biblical calendar has been hidden according to Daniel 12:9, Revelation 22:10 detailing the imminent end of the world (with alleged Biblical evidence pointing to the date for the Rapture as May 21, 2011); of the "end of the church age" (which asserts that churches are no longer the vehicle used by God for salvation, 1 Peter 4:17); and of predestination (Ephesians 1:4-5), according to which God determined before the beginning of the world which individuals are to be saved.

Camping does not consider Family Radio a church and does not claim ordained or hierarchical authority within a church or institution.

Camping claims that the church institutions do not employ the Bible alone as the sole authority; According to Camping, each church/denomination has their own unique set of doctrines and hermeneutics, which dictate how they understand the Bible, and this is what he believes makes Family Radio, a world wide, non-profit, non-denominational Christian based ministry, so different.

Recently, as what he believes to be the Biblical date for Judgment Day (May 21, 2011) draws near, Family Radio has become affiliated with, another Bible-based ministry.

Followers continue to listen to Camping despite the fact that he was wrong in his previous prediction of the end of the world. In his book 1994? he claimed there was a very high likelihood that the world would end in September 1994, although he did acknowledge in the book "the possibility does exist that I could be wrong."

He makes no mention of this failure when establishing his new claims of the end of the world in October 2011.

Camping has received criticism from a number of leaders, scholars, and laymen within the Christian community for his predictions on when the Rapture will take place. His critics argue that Jesus Christ Himself taught that no man knows the day or the hour of the Lord's return.

Central to Camping's teaching is the belief that the Bible alone and in its entirety is the Word of God, and absolutely trustworthy. However, he emphasizes, this does not mean that each sentence in the Bible is to be understood only literally.

Rather, the meaning of individual Biblical passages also needs to be interpreted in the light of two factors. The first is the context of the Bible as a whole. The second is its spiritual meaning. In Camping's words, "the Bible is an earthly story with a Heavenly meaning."

This stems from Mark 4:34, which states that Jesus did not speak to the disciples without using parables. Because Christ is the Word of God, therefore, the historical accounts of the Old Testament can also be seen as parables.

For example, in the Book of Joshua, we find that Joshua (whose name in Hebrew is identical to the name "Jesus" in Greek), is a picture of Christ, who safely led the Israelites (who represented those who became saved) across the Jordan River (a representation of the wrath of God) into the land of Canaan (which represents the kingdom of God).

In Camping's latest publications, We are Almost There!, To God be the Glory, "NO MAN KNOWS THE DAY OR THE HOUR?" and "ANOTHER INFALLIBLE PROOF THAT GOD GIVES THAT ASSURES THE RAPTURE WILL OCCUR MAY 21, 2011," he states that a number of Biblical passages point unquestionably to May 21, 2011 as "the first day of the Day of Judgment", and October 21, 2011 for the end of the world. Some people point to Camping as a "date-setter" following his own method of Biblical interpretation.

Camping maintains that he follows the Bible's method of Biblical interpretation, except he doesn't seem to get the whole teaching on false prophets and the punishment for making claims God didn't say, but nobodies perfect!

Since leaving the Christian Reformed Church in 1988, Camping has taught doctrines that may conflict with doctrines of the Christian Reformed Church and other church denominations. Examples of how Camping's teachings vary from conventional Calvinist doctrines include:
  • Departing from Calvinist doctrine, Camping teaches a relative free will for humanity and that humans are not totally depraved.  However, he subscribes to the idea that salvation is unmerited, cannot be achieved by good works or prayer, and is a pure act of God's grace.
  • Departing from the doctrine of eternal torment for the unsaved in a place called Hell, Camping teaches annihilationism; that life will end and existence will cease for the unsaved soul, like the Jehovah's Witnesses.
  • Departing from doctrines stating no one can know the time of Christ's second coming, he teaches that the exact times of the Rapture and the End of the World are to be revealed sometime towards the end of time (Daniel 12:9-13 prophecy).
  • Camping teaches that all churches have become apostate and thus must be abandoned, Joesph Smith eat your heart out. In the place of church he encourages personal Bible study and listening to his Family Radio broadcasts. Talk about keeping it in the family, Jim Jones has nothing on this Guy
Camping's Biblical study regarding time and Christ's second coming is based on the cycles of:
  • Jewish feast days in the Hebrew calendar, as described in the Old Testament,
  • the lunar month calendar (1 month = 29.53059 days), and
  • the Gregorian calendar (1 year = 365.2422 days).
He projects these into modern times and combines the results with other information in the Bible.

Camping calculates that the crucifixion of Christ took place on Friday April 1, AD 33.

Not all commentators agree with that date. Hoehner argues for April 3, 33 A.D.

Other students of the subject have placed the event in AD 29, 30, or 31.

In 1992, Camping published a book titled 1994?, in which he proclaimed that Christ's return might be on September 6, 1994. In that publication, he also mentioned that 2011 could be the end. As a result, some individuals have criticized him for "date-setting."

Camping's latest publications, We are Almost There! and To God be The Glory, refer to additional Biblical evidence which, in his opinion and that of others mentioned by him, points to May 21, 2011 as the date for the Rapture and October 21, 2011 as the date for the end of the world.

"Beware of false prophets, who come to you dressed as sheep, but inside they are devouring wolves."

"And many false prophets will rise up and deceive and lead many into error."

"For false Christs and false prophets will arise, and they will show great signs and wonders so as to deceive and lead astray, if possible, even the elect (God's chosen ones). "

"BUT ALSO [in those days] there arose false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among yourselves, who will subtly and stealthily introduce heretical doctrines (destructive heresies), even denying and disowning the Master Who bought them, bringing upon themselves swift destruction."

"BELOVED, DO not put faith in every spirit, but prove (test) the spirits to discover whether they proceed from God; for many false prophets have gone forth into the world."

The world would do well to avoid doing business with these false prophets and giving them a place to advertise their wears, and God's true Church needs to learn the basics of scriptural defence like never before!

DOOMSDAY: May 21st 2011????? Could it be true? Is it Possible?

May 21st 2011
Gee just when we thought we had until December 21st of 2012, now the time has been moved up!

Is the End just months away? Or is this Web-site just another nut-job prophet site, like all the other BAD guesses from the past?

Here are some other links teaching this doctrine:

Before I begin this study let me say that some of the content on this site is for real (That's the carrot! ). But SATAN himself can offer great points as to why he's not so bad after all. That does not mean however that every word is correct in regards to the end times, in fact its so twisted in places it resembles Jim Jones!

Is it even possible that this one could be right? Well, yes in the sense that even a BROKEN CLOCK is right TWICE A DAY, at some point the dates MIGHT MATCH but who knows....Ohhh, he does, sorry! The real question is DO I NEED TO KNOW to share in the event? I say a resounding NO!

From his PDF file teaching the following comment is made:

"No one except God knows the time of the end of the world. How does anyone dare to teach that the Rapture and the Day of Judgment will occur on May 21, 2011? Doesn’t the Bible say very plainly that no one can know the day or the hour of Christ’s return?
Indeed the Bible did teach that......  NO MAN KNOWS THE DAY OR THE HOUR?

What he's saying is NOW in this time this scripture doesn't mean what it says, because God planned to CHANGE HIS MIND about who he revealed his timing too, wasn't the Apostle Paul good enough? You would think that the men and women of the early church who gave the ultimate sacrifice would meet the criteria of trustworthiness FAR BETTER THAN US!

In Acts 1:7
"And He said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in His own power. "

Ecclesiastes 8:5:

"Whoso keepeth the commandment shall feel no evil thing: and a wise man's heart discerneth both time and judgment."
Let's be real here, this verse does not mean that WE can automatically know everything God knows UNLESS he chooses to let you know it, so discern away, God has it hidden! But you can know the Times and Seasons which the Father has chosen to reveal to us NOT to his Enemies because those times are not important to the battle ahead.

He said about this verse:

"From these verses we learn that during the church age there would be a great curiosity concerning the time of the end, but believers were not to be at all preoccupied with this question. They were to concentrate and focus all of their attention on the task of bringing the Gospel to the whole world.
Therefore, regardless of how brilliant or how learned a theologian or Bible student might have been, or how diligently they studied the Bible or faithfully served Christ, it was impossible to learn from the Bible the timetable for the end of the world. Anyone who claimed he knew the time of the end was always wrong."

While I can agree that there are things yet to be revealed about scripture, that truth alone is NO PROOF about the exact date of his coming. I'm also not saying that HE CANNOT come on the 21st of may, I hope he does for I am ready to go BUT emotions aside concerning the end times, if this man is basing ANY of his time-line on a DISPENSATIONAL TEACHING he's wrong from the start  BECAUSE THIS FALSE DOCTRINE CAME FROM THE MIND OF MERE MEN, it was the invention of Francisco Ribera and Luis de Alcazar, both 16th-century Spanish Jesuits, rose to meet the challenge by introducing plausible counter interpretations of prophecy.
The following statement made me pause for a moment before commenting on it: "REMEMBER, God is very, very merciful and loving. There is hope for anyone who humbly cries, who begs, and beseeches God that maybe they, too, might become saved."

This statement ALONE is revealing concerning his dogma, at least to me, as NO WHERE in scripture is a Christian ever seen in the light of a "Might be" or a "Could be Saved at the time of his coming" the bible is very clear that all those who have received Christ CAN NEVER BE LOST OR LEFT BEHIND BY GOD!

This argument is nothing new, similar claims have been made for decades, in 1988 a book claimed the exact same thing in exact same way, I don't have to tell you Jesus didn't come then and there's no indication it will happen on May 21st ether. ALTHOUGH HE COULD if that's the day God picked!

Let me be clear here, JESUS IS COMING BACK SOON, but we are not to know in advance WHEN...WHY? Simple, HE WANTS US READY 24/7, 365 Days a year for his coming NOT only when we know when, even if we did know this would STILL BE TRUE. I mean really, what kind of Christian would not want to be ready knowing or not so what's point of knowing? Satan doesn't know for good reason, he's the enemy of all that is holy, that's the whole reason for keeping it secret in the first place. Who do we think we are?

God is NOT going to reveal to us this secret because it would reveal to his enemy the date and time, how would that mess up God's plans? Of course God could PLUG the devil's ears so he can't know it but is that even a biblical concept? There's no mention of God in the last days having to keep Satan and His children from knowing of his coming, that's because as Jesus said NO MAN KNOWS....PERIOD!

We are to be AWARE at all times that He could come any moment starting NOW! He could very well come on the 21st of May this year or the 21st of December 2012 or even today, that's the rub here, Satan doesn't know what God knows or his false Prophets in Astrology would always get it right!

So why would God risk it all letting untrustworthy Humans know his inmost secret?

ANSWER....He wouldn't!

Those who INSIST upon knowing reveal themselves as people who cannot live for God unless they know EVERY DETAIL OF EVERY DETAIL about all things, got news for ya! It isn't going to happen, we cannot be trusted with all the facts, that's how wars are fought and God's war with Satan is no different. God would never LET HIS WORST ENEMY SATAN KNOW THIS FACT OR HE WOULD ATTEMPT TO TRUMP GOD ON THAT DATE, its simple common sense. We fight KNOWING only that God knows and that's enough for me.
Here's another problem from his Book
" We have learned that the precise date of the cross was April 1, 33 A.D. when coordinated with our present modern calendar. April 1, 33 A.D. is the only date that meets all the requirements of the Bible, such as being a Friday that falls on the correct date for the Passover, which was the date Christ was to be crucified."

"Then certain of the scribes and of the Pharisees answered,
saying, Master, we would see a sign from thee. But he
answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous
generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be
given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas: For as Jonas
was three days and three night in the whale's belly; so shall
the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart
of the earth
" (Matthew 12:38-40).

The problem is that Christ WAS NOT CRUCIFIED on a Friday, he was Crucified on a Wednesday afternoon and died at 3pm was buried that afternoon before SUNDOWN, was in the GRAVE for THREE DAYS AND NIGHTS rising from the dead on SATURDAY MORNING THE SABBATH.

Read about the Good Friday Hoax......
Three Days and Three Nights-Was Jesus in the grave for exactly three days and three nights?

“To the Torah and the Testimony!  If they do not speak according to this Word, it is because there is no light in them.”  YeshaYahu (Is.) 8:20

"Modern interpreters of the Bible make Jesus Christ a liar.
They say Jesus was crucified on Good Friday, buried about
sundown the same day, and arose on the next Sunday about
daybreak in contradiction to the Scriptures! Any schoolboy
knows that this is only two nights and one day missing the
night, which would be less than 72 hours."

This alone throw's off his time-line and shows that God didn't seem to know when he was Crucified or was raised from the grave....Oh well!

Not knowing this OBVIOUS mistake puts all of his ideas in question, how many other mistakes has he made? It will not be long before we all know the real truth but HOW WILL HE EXPLAIN THE BLUNDER AFTER THE 21ST? Probably the same way others have, by saying the timing was off because of this change here or that issue there instead of admitting I WAS WRONG TO EVEN GUESS AT IT IN THE FIRST PLACE!

Humble pie is on the Menu VERY SOON!
